Paws & Play

Free event

Have you ever noticed how dogs shake themselves off after something stressful? There's a reason for that! Movement can help the body reset after stress-and humans can benefit from moving our bodies, too.

Come hang out with some dogs, have a little fun, and learn why spending time with them can feel so good.

What to Expect

  • Pet & Play with Dogs
Spend some time getting to know the dogs through petting, play, and gentle interaction.

  • Learn About the Mental Health Benefits of Connecting with Animals
Explore how interacting with animals can support stress relief, connection, mood, and overall emotional well-being.

  • Learn What Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) Are & What They Aren’t
We’ll talk about what qualifies as an Emotional Support Animal, how ESAs differ from service animals and pets, and what having an ESA actually involves.

  • Paws with Us for Some Play, Movement & Stress Relief
There’s no right or wrong way to participate. Take your time and enjoy some time with the dogs. Licensed clinicians will be there throughout the event to help guide the experience, answer questions, and chat about the mental health and emotional well-being topics that come up along the way.

  • Meet Some Badass Dogs Looking for Their Forever Homes*
Get to know some wonderful dogs currently looking for their forever homes and learn more about their personalities and adoption journeys.
