“With a little courage, so much is possible.”

Who we are
At Liv Mental Health, we believe healing and growth happen through connection—with yourself, with others, and within a safe, supportive space. Our New York City–based practice, with locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, takes a relational, attachment-based approach to therapy. We help our clients explore how foundational life experiences and relationships have shaped their emotions, behaviors, and patterns, so they can successfully move forward with greater clarity and intention.
Grounded in this relational, attachment-focused work, we integrate somatic awareness and experiential practices to deepen the process. This means we don’t just explore your story cognitively—we also attend to how it lives in your body and present-moment experience. By working across both emotional and physical layers, therapy can move beyond insight alone, supporting more lasting shifts, a stronger mind-body connection, and a greater sense of integration.
Whether you’re just beginning to consider what healing could look like or already feel ready to take the next step, we’ll meet you where you are. Together, we can work toward building stronger connections, resilience, and a greater sense of well-being. In a city like New York, where the pace and demands of daily life can be intense, having a dedicated space to to slow down, reflect, and reconnect can be especially important.
Wherever you are in your journey, we’re honored to walk alongside you.
Our approach
-
Healing begins in safe connection. Attachment-based therapy explores how early relationships shape the way you connect, trust, and relate to others—and to yourself. Within a supportive therapeutic relationship, this approach helps you understand old attachment patterns, repair relational wounds, and develop a greater sense of security, self-compassion, and emotional balance.
-
Your body holds wisdom, and healing happens in the present moment. Somatic awareness, informed by Gestalt principles invites gentle attention to physical sensations, and nervous system responses as they arise in the here and now. This work supports grounding, emotional regulation, and deeper self-understanding—helping healing become an embodied experience, not just something you understand, but something you feel.
-
Healing happens in connection. Relational therapy, informed by Gestalt principles and present-focused awareness, explores how your relationships—with others and with yourself—shape your emotions, patterns, and sense of meaning. Through authentic, compassionate engagement in the here and now, this approach supports deeper self-awareness, helps loosen old relational patterns, and fosters more grounded, fulfilling connections in your life.
-
Your story matters, and so does your healing. Trauma-informed therapy offers a safe, supportive space where your experiences are met with compassion and care. Grounded in understanding how trauma impacts the mind and body, this approach empowers you to rebuild trust, resilience, and a sense of control over your life. Healing isn’t just possible—it’s within reach.
-
No two journeys are the same, and your therapy shouldn’t be either. Integrative therapy blends techniques from various approaches to create a personalized path toward healing and growth. By meeting you where you are and adapting to your unique needs, this flexible and holistic approach helps you uncover deeper insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

Find a good fit for your needs.
Each person who comes to therapy brings something distinct, so it makes sense that no single therapist will feel right for everyone. If you’re exploring whether someone on our team might feel like a good fit, we invite you to take your time with their individual bios. You’ll find more about each therapist’s background, approach, and the way they tend to work with people in therapy.
What often matters isn’t a perfect match on paper, but whether something in their presence or approach feels like it resonates with what you’re looking for right now. We hope you find someone who feels like a steady and supportive fit as you begin this process.
And if you’re still trying to make sense of what “good fit” means, you might find this note from our founder helpful.
